Bear awaking from hibernation

It's been awhile, but somebody has been keeping us pretty busy around here. She insists on being held most of the time, prohibiting us from getting anything else accomplished around here. John has class three nights a week right now, plus an occassional study group. Which means that I am home with little Delcia alone most of the time, which can get a bit exhausting. She did eliminate her 1:00am feeding this week and now sleeps from 11:00-3:00am and agian until 6:30, which has been very nice and I can only hope it continues.
On the weekends, John is more than happy to hold his baby girl as much as possible and change and feed her. John and Delcia took full advantage of the "cry room" at church this morning while I sat and enjoyed Pastor Troy's message. Bridger and Paisley have also been helpful keeping an eye on her while I take a brief shower in the mornings. When John asked what I wanted to do this weekend I replied, "I want to take a really long shower and shave my legs." The small luxeries of being a mom! Besides John being super busy and a bit stressed out, things have been going quite well around here and we are enjoying little Delcia, even when she cries so hard that her face turns purple. Oh, and it's finally snowing here after a long dry season and a week long inversion.

TIME keeps on ticking...

Well we haven't been the most productive since Christmas. However, I've tried to devote a little time time making this video. Some photo's are when my cousin Kiera came out from Indy earlier in the pregnancy (you can tell because they are the really nice photo's). We also set up a the camera to take 1 shot every 5 minutes while Janessa was in labor. (I did edit out a few photo's). But anyways we hope you enjoy this side of the lense of labor.

Hey, whatchu lookin at?

Well, we've made it through our first week and then some of parenthood. I don't think we've screwed her up too much yet. She may tell her therapist different though. We are having fun and feeling like we are getting more settled. Bev and Eldon were here for a week, so it was fun to have grandma and grandpa attention for awhile. They were very helpful providing meals, doing laundry and holding baby. Delcia and I are adjusting to our first week home alone. Bev and Eldon left yesterday and John went back to work. Delcia is doing well on about a 3hr. eating schedule. She is a bit fussy for a few hours in the evening, but other than that is a pretty easy baby- we do sense a bit of fiestiness in her though, (I don't know where she gets that from). She sleeps for about 3hrs. at a time, so I am only up twice in the night to feed her. We couldn't be happier though and love every moment of being parents. You can see more pictures on our picaso website (link on the right).
