Wild.... flowers

We decided to get out of the heat today and headed up to Albion Basin for a hike. Delcia loved it! She was all smiles and talking the entire time- well until the end when she quietly fell asleep. She loves being up in the back pack, (thanks aunt Jami), where she has a good view of everything. We stopped at a little water fall. She was so excited, she was kicking and talking to the water. It was beautiful and the wild flowers were in full bloom.

Delcia crawled for the first time today! She has been army crawling for awhile now, but this was an official hands and knees crawl across the living room floor. It was so funny. She gets so excited and proud of herself. I'm sure us cheering her on helps a little. She has also been pulling herself up to standing the last few days. One milestone after another. It's pretty fun watching this girl grow up!

We look forward to our trip to Ohio this week to see the Erdmanns!

Two crazy girls!

Well, we survived a week with a three and a half year old. Ava stayed with us for a week, while Jeff and Steph and the older siblings went to Lake Powell. Ava was a very good girl and only throw a couple tantrums, (like when we were leaving the pool after being there for two hours). Other than that, Ava was very helpful in entertaining Delcia and playing with her. She is also now very aware of items that qualify as choking hazards. Delcia loved her and would look for her over my shoulder first thing every morning. Ava could get Delcia to giggle just by looking at her and was helpful in distracting her while I changed messy diapers. Lots of fun!
Neither of these girls look mischevious, do they?

Sitting pretty.

Delce has been sitting up on her own now for just over a week. It is so cute! She is getting so independent! She is scooting on her stomach all over the place. She will get on her hands and knees now and rock back and forth, (once hitting her head on the wall). She will soon be all too mobile!

This one takes the cake!

Of all of Bridger's blunders, this one takes the cake! He has had a broken toe, a toe amputation, cancer on his leg, now torn ligaments. The casts just keep getting bigger along with the vet bills. Talking to the vet last night, who had previously talked to the orthopedic surgeon, we found out that his leg probably will not be able to heal without surgery. We will wait and see how he does over the next week or so with a splint before we opt for this. Poor guy! He has been through a lot lately.

Bridger vs. Car

We've been gearing up for a week with Ava and looking forward to it and the challenge of two rambunctious girls. We thought everything was under controll and ready untill I pulled up at home with miss Ava ready for the week, passed out in the car seat. As I exited the car bridger noticed me and ran over from neighbor Daves as we screamed for him to stop, sit, stay he ignored us as usual and the car and poor driver that slammed on the brakes gave bridge a hip check. Hundreds of dollars later and a scheduled followup tomorrow to stitch up some flesh wounds bridger has no broken bones, but some possible tendon damage. We'll keep you posted, but apparently bridger is shooting to be the lee majors of the canine community. Da na na na nah

Consistantly Inconsistant!

We've been trying to get Delcia on a routine, but we never quite make it there before our crazy life gets in the way (we've had a week of normalcy, but that will soon change). Every night we try to get our peanut to bed around 7. She usually is successfull in fighting that off from any where between 8-10. So if you can't beat em join um. This week two seperate nights we figured our plans to do whatever until around 8 would work well and we'd still get bean to bed when she was ready.. Well you guessed it here she is picture after having a wonderfull bedtime nap in the stroller on the way to the game. (she fell asleep at 6:45). Luckily she slept well once we got home and even slept for 6 hrs through the night. Now that makes for a happy mommy. Delcia and I also got to spend Friday night all alone. It was a rough night, because dad cannot comfort like mom... but we managed to hopefully set her up for sleeping through the night a little better, or last night was a fluke... To Be Continued.
