Sharing

Delcia was nice enough to let Bridger have a brief taste of his raw hide before taking a taste of her own.

This Old House

We finally replaced the floors from the minor flooding and water damage acquired while we were out of town in Aug. We chose bamboo to replace the hardwood and marmoleum in the kitchen. Because our house is really old and has settled substantially over the years, John had a lot of prep work to do. He tore up all the old floors and had to level out the sub floors the best he could. Delcia, Bridger and I stayed at my parents house for the week. John worked really, really hard and is exhausted.

Leveling out the beams where the majority of the problem was.

The new floors, taking a lot longer than expected to put in.

Ripping up the kitchen floors. Three layers of linoleum and fiber board. Fun stuff!

Floored

Well the home projects aren't done, but the floors are mostly in.. It has been a lot of work, but we re happy with it. There are some baseboards to put back in and others to fit up for the first time, but we have our home back. Bridger is not happy with them or the power tools and Janessa is not happy with him as a result. Delcia has moderatly tolerated the whole charade by enjoying Grandpa and Grandma's house and switching back to waking every 2 hrs at night.

Aquarium with Grandma and Grandpa

Delcia was surprisingly interested in fish at the aquarium. We thought she might be too young to enjoy it, but she proved us wrong.

She loved the clown fish and she hasn't even seen "Nemo" yet!

Grandpa carried her around and when she got a little scared, she would grab on to him for protection. So cute!

I'm walking while the camera is out.

Delcia has been walking by herself for a few days, but she's very secretive about it. We finally caught her on film as she went on a tear this afternoon crawling and walking all around our house. Look out world, we are in big trouble now.

More Moab pictures

First camping trip.

We spent the weekend camping in Moab. It was fun, but challenging with a nine month old! She wanted to play in the sand and eat rocks the whole time. The first night she was not siked about spending the night in a cold tent. She kept waking up crying and was difficult to get back to sleep. The second night she was more used to the idea and did great. It wasn't as cold, but terribly windy, which only seemed to bother John and I- Delcia slept great. Oh, and she peed all over our sleeping bags mid-diaper change. And every time you opened the tent door a bunch of sand would blow in! The joys of camping!
We hung out in Arches National Park on Sat. and rode our bikes around there a bit. Delcia loves the bike trailor and was all smiles the whole time! The scenery was beautiful! We look forward to more excursions like this as she gets older.

Pictures from the homefront.

Delcia loves to watch the bath tub fill up and often throws whatever she can find in there!

Chil'in in her rain boots.

The other night, Delcia insisted on hauling these two stuffed animals around the house with her. She would stop every so often to give them some loves.
