Florida Vacation
Delce representing in her Purdue shirt. Yes, she is as full of it as she looks!
John's parents treated us and his sister to a week in Florida with them. It was so fun to spend time with John's family in a beach house! The view was beautiful and we got to see dolphins jumping everyday from our windows. Unfortunately, the weather sucked! Sorry, no other way to put it. We have video, (we'll post later), of Delcia playing in the ocean with dolphins jumping in the background. We were there a whole week and only got about two hours of warm enough weather to spend playing on the beach. Delcia loved the ocean- we couldn't keep her out of the freezing cold water!
Delcia and I bundled up before posing for our long awaited "Kiera" photos; John's fabulous photographer cousin.
Unfortunately, the weather was uncooperative for our photo shoot, and we were freezing our butts off in the wind.
Our photo shoot only lasted about 10min. due to the cold weather and Delcia's impatience.

Delcia's one year old photos
We tried to take some one year old photos of Delce. We went down town, but it was so cold out that we re-evaluated and went to an old indoor mall, Trolley Square. She wasn't terribly cooperative and we are not professionals, but here is what we came up with. We look forward to having some "real" photos taken next week in Florida by Kiera.
Birthday Girl!
Delcia is one! We had a birthday party for her and John last Sat night. It's bad enough having a birthday next to Christmas, now John is overlooked by Delcia's birthday on the 27th! Good thing he is so laid back and low maintenance. We had a lot of fun celebrating both birthday's with some of our fabulous friends and family! It really didn't take long for Delcia to get the hang of opening presents. She was so excited about her great new toys and books!

Let it snow!
One of Johns favorite things is to be in the mountains, especially when there is an inversion. So, we spent another day bundled up by the fire at our friend, Jim Keener's cabin in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Delcia loves the hike in through the snow!
She enjoyed eating all my spaghetti! As little as she is, she loves to eat!
She kept waving at the deer head on the wall, surprised by it's lack of response.
King of the castle! She loved the fur on the rocking chair!
