Well we've officially passed our due date. Janessa reached 40 wks (I guess that's the magic number), this past thursday (Dec. 18th). She has celebrated this milestone by hiking, massages, and anything else she can think of to speed the process up. It's been snowing here in Salt Lake and we've gotten probably around 1.5 feet in the past several days. We were trying to keep Ness occupied and under some physical capacity so we set off for a walk in the snow at the park. She even chased after Bridger and his captive duck for a while, but Delcia will not budge. At least it's beautiful out here. We'll keep you all posted. And this will probably be one of the first places we post a picture, when she does arrive. Keep tuned. It's looking like more of a Christmas baby than we'd expected.
It snowed in Utah. Since the birth of Delcia isn't amongst us just yet, I had to make it out and tell the snow that she soon would be and that I might have to take a few days away from the snow. It's been a bare year, and we were definitely reminded of that on the out, but up top we were able to manage to find a few sweet turns. I was also reminded of how long it had been since I walked up a hill. I'll get um next time. So much for the ripping year squezzed in before Delcia.
Jillene, Colin and Kirra were in town for the week, so we had the priveledge of babysitting Kirra Mar a couple times. She is such a fun, sweet little girl with a big smile and lots to say- even though we can't quite understand her. She loves her uncle John and is always happy to see us and Bridger. She got so upset at our house one day and I finally figured out why- she couldn't find Bridger, he was sleeping under the table! She is a very funny little girl. We love having her around.
Well, we barely made it home from Thanksgiving before Janessa decided we needed to get our Christmas tree. I guess helping Jenny and Chris and Grady pick out their's didn't help the matter. I held her off for a day delaying the inevitable and so she spent tuesday decorating the tree we picked out Monday night. I guess it's best to get that out of the way, since we don't know when we'll be heading to the hospital (it could be anyday, though Janessa isn't showing signs yet!). Hope you all are enjoying the impending holiday season. Godspeed.
