These photos are a little older, but I don't have any more recent and thought I should post an update, since I've been horrible about it. It's 8:30pm, the baby is asleep and I should be too, but here I am trying to get stuff done. Delce has been a bit of a night owl lately and is wearing me out. The latest news is that we have decided to try and sell our house- thanks to annoying neighbors and the need for a little more room. Don't get me wrong, we love most of our neighbors. Anyways, we will see if we get any action in this market. If we do, we are looking to move down south to the Sandy area, closer to John's work, Big and Little Cottonwood canyons and hopefully a quieter, safer neighborhood out of the city.
Delcia is getting cuter and cuter. She is becoming so active and aware. She loves the cat and dog and watches them roam around. She enjoys kicking and talking to the critters on the mobile in her crib and the swing. She loves music and likes to be active and in a position to check everything out and wiggle around as much as possible. This picture of her and John is of a rare and extra snuggly moment, (she does not like to be held close on your chest, or constrained in any way).
We have a morning ritual that I refer to as "baby torture" but really only consists of the booger sucking bulb, that Delcia makes sound like midevil torture. The cat has taken note of this and viciously attacks my legs while I do this. The cat is surprisingly interested in the baby and seems very concerned and upset when Delcia cries. Paisley is now attacking the baby monitor that is emitting the sounds of John trying to consol a screaming baby- don't worry, she has never attacked the actually screaming infant.
The other picture is of Delcia and her BFF (Best Friend Forever), Gwen, who was born 10 days earlier. We have the pleasure of sharing many parenting ups and downs with our friends, (I guess they are technically our relatives too), Mark and Heather. (Mark is my brother-in-laws brother, if that makes any sense). Anyways, good stuff here on the home front. Duty calls, gotta go.
